The School for Moral Ambition
The School for Moral Ambition asks people with talent and options to spend their careers on the problems that matter most.
Imagine if that talent were pointed at the problems that matter most. That is the idea behind The School for Moral Ambition, founded by Rutger Bregman to help ambitious people take on the world’s most pressing challenges.
A GOOD LIFE IS REACHING THE END OF IT KNOWING YOUR WORK MATTERED.
Conventional success, Bregman argues, is leaving our most capable people feeling empty and unfulfilled. The fix is to reframe ambition from personal gain to collective benefit. The problem was never a shortage of talent. It was a shortage of direction.
The School takes the best and brightest from the corporate world and redirects them toward the causes others overlook, from factory farming to Big Tobacco to unfair tax systems. With support from The Gambrell Foundation, 22 exceptional fellows left their jobs to devote themselves fully to impact. It reflects a belief we share: a good life means reaching the end of it knowing the work you did mattered.
